Glossy green enameling and polished copper are featured on this large sized “Leaflet” leaf brooch by Matisse Renoir, circa 1950s/60s.
The modernist brooch consists of polished copper metal with curvy double leaf design – each leaf partially glazed in a vivid green enamel with graduating dark colored contrast and white speckled accents.
It measures approximately 1&3/4 inches wide at its widest point by 3&1/8 inches high, weighs 22.9 grams and is signed “Matisse © Renoir”.
