This vintage Bakelite cameo brooch features the classical female bust of antiquity, in a jet black Bakelite catalin, circa 1940s.
The Art Deco era pin consists of black Bakelite that has a carved swirled frame with a scalloped edge, set with a molded plastic female bust in profile, which features an ancient style Greek or Roman figure.
The brooch measures approximately 1&7/16 inches round, has an embedded metal pinback with rivets which have oxidized over time, and weighs 10.2 grams.
