A pair of pretty doves, exchange the olive branch of peace, in this vintage and large sized brooch by Chaim Gross, and part of the Sculpture’s Guild series of jewelry given to donors of Israeli bonds during the 1960s and 70s.
The openwork style pin has a bright gold plated base, and features two dove birds over stylized Hebrew letters for ‘shalom’ or peace.
The doves have red rhinestone eyes, and the brooch itself measures approximately 3 inches wide at its widest point by 2&1/8 inches high at its highest point.
It weighs 29.1 grams and is signed “Chaim Gross”.
