A fringe of hand hammered brass spikes, trimmed with tribal trade beads is featured on this vintage Brutalist spiked collar torc necklace, in the style of Jack Boyd, circa 1970s.
The modernist ‘studio jewelry’ neck ring has a primitive look and consists of brass wire coiled around the collar portion -- along with two zebra print trade beads and additional black beads, and long brass hammered spokes or fringe in graduated lengths, with some natural oxidation and patina.
It also has an S-hook type closure and measures approximately 15 inches around, while the longest fringe in front, measures approximately 2&7/8 inches in length.
