Vintage 70s Baltic Amber Beaded Fringe Necklace
A pretty floral cluster of Baltic amber beads, provides a soft honey glow on this vintage Russian beaded necklace, signed .9PЯ from 1979.
The natural resin necklace consists of a silver toned chain, set with semi-translucent honey or butterscotch colored beads of genuine Baltic amber in a floral trinity design, and trimmed with metal beaded fringe to provide a bit of sway and movement.
There are also decorative amber beads running along each side of the chain, which measure from 8mm and 10mm in size, and a Cyrillic maker’s mark for “.9PЯ” on one of the jump rings (see last pic), where .9 indicates the year of 1979, and PЯ are the maker’s intials.
The full pendant portion measures approximately 2 inches wide and hangs 2 inches in length, has an inner chain link measurements of approximately 14&1/2 inches around, and weighs a total of 14.1 grams.
