So handsomely sized and finely handcrafted is this vintage Mexican modernist brooch with sterling silverwork and faux jade stone, circa 1940s.
The hand wrought Art Deco era pin consists of unmarked sterling silver, features an abstract floral openwork design, and has a crimped scalloped bezel set with a green calcite or travertine stone, to mimic jade.
It measures approximately 2&3/16 inches round, weighs 24.6 grams, has a wide c-catch, and is marked “Made in Mexico”.
