Vintage Silk Scarf Exotic Birds & Insects by Diane Voyentzie 35 x 35

A paradise of colorful and exotic birds, insects, and flowers is the feature of this vintage shawl sized silk scarf by artist Diane Voyentzie, originally designed for a New York City Women’s Club.

The scenic scarf consists of a medium weight silk twill and features a variety of parrots, love birds and tropical birds of paradise, as well as butterflies, dragonflies, and buzzing bees fliting among white cherry blossoms along a trellis.

There are shades of blue, turquoise, coral, pink, yellow and green, and a dark teal-green border. 

It also has hand rolled and stitched hems, measures approximately 35 by 35 inches and has an embroidered label for “100% Silk”, “Made in Italy”, with fabric care instructions on the reverse.
