A bust of Nefertiti, Queen of the Nile, wearing her stately head dress is featured in this vintage hallmarked silver ring from Egypt.
The hand crafted ring consists of fine silver and displays the queen in profile, in a cameo style with shadowbox design, along with lotus and papyrus plants, set within a scalloped frame.
The ring has a single shank with decorative lotus flowers on each end, and measures an approximate size 9 on my ring mandrel.
It weighs 6.5 grams and has a tiny hallmark within the shank, however it is hard to decipher the silver fineness and date mark, although it does have a visible lotus mark which indicates a post 1946 date.
