Vintage 60s Zelinka Matlick B&W Wool Skirt Suit S / M
Stay warm in style, with this classy vintage skirt suit in a black and white pebbly wool knit by Zelinka-Matlick, circa early 1960s.
The solid weight suit consists of a coat jacket and matching skirt made of thick textured wool with a stylized houndstooth pattern.
The jacket has 7/8 length sleeves, asymmetrical closure with black plastic buttons, single patch pocket, single belt loop (no belt) and is fully lined within. The skirt is also fully lined and has a coil zipper and single button closure at the waist.
*Please note that the last button on the jacket is a closely matched replacement as shown.
The suit in its entirety is in very good condition, and has an embroidered label for “Zelinka-Matlick”, “New York • London • Paris”, “100% Virgin Wool”, along with a department store label for “B. Altman & Co.”, “Fifth Avenuve”, “New York”, and an early blue and white ILGWU label.
Remember – bulky coats may add an inch or more on the outside, but fit smaller within, so please note the following measurements and make a generous allowance for ease.
