Bright candy colored paillette drops of green and yellow Bakelite, suspend from celluloid chainwork, in this festive looking bib necklace with doubled tiered fringe, circa 1940s.
The vintage Art Deco choker length necklace has a festoon styling and consists of a double strand of white celluloid chain links, and round bakelite discs resembling poker chips, in colors of mustard yellow and olivine green with attached metal bails.
Each disc or drop measures approximately 7/8 of an inch round – while the necklace itself has an early type of spring ring metal clasp, measures 15&1/2 inches around the inside (shortest) circumference, and weighs a total of 27.7 grams.
