A multistrand necklace of gemstone fetishes makes up this vintage Zuni crafted necklace, with tiny carved animals, heishi beads, and sterling silver tips, circa 1970s.
The Southwestern necklace consists of three strands, strung with animal fetishes to include birds, hummingbirds, foxes, and bears, in a variety of gemstones, including turquoise, onyx, mother of pearl and other shells – along with tiny carved heishi and turquoise beads.
The shortest strand measures approximately 24 inches in length while the longest strand measures about 29 inches in length.
It also has a hook closure with sterling silver cone tips marked “Sterling”, and weighs 54.0 grams.
