Two round half orbs with finely dimpled surface, makes up this vintage 2-part silver belt buckle from Peru, circa 1950s.
The modernist buckle is hand wrought from 900 silver, and consists of two half rounds with textured hammered finish and twisted braid trim. Each half measures approximately 1&1/4 inches round, and are approximately 2&1/2 inches across when combined.
The buckle halves weighs 19.3 grams in total, and are partially impressed with “900” and “Peru”.
